Weather Summary for North-Central and Northeast Wisconsin
National Weather Service Green Bay WI
856 PM CST Sun Jan 15 2017
Abundant sunshine across the area this afternoon boosted
temperatures into the mid 20s over most locations, with lower 30s
across central sections.
Clouds will start to increase tonight and through the first half
of Monday ahead of our next weather system. This system will bring
a variety of precipitation types to the region Monday afternoon
Snow, freezing rain, sleet, and rain are all possible at some
point. The exact timing and amount of snow and ice accumulations
are still somewhat uncertain due to temperatures right around the
32 degree freezing mark.
Either way, the precipitation will make for hazardous travel.
With the recent cold spell, ground temperatures are well below
freezing which could cause untreated pavements to becoming icy
despite air temperatures several degrees above freezing.
