LOW PRESSURE WAS MOVING THROUGH SOUTHWEST QUEBEC LATE THIS MORNING.
NORTHWEST WINDS ASSOCIATED WITH THE DEPARTING LOW CONTINUED TO
FUNNEL IN ARCTIC AIR ACROSS THE STATE. A NARROW BAND OF LOCALLY
HEAVY SNOW OCCURRED OVER EAST CENTRAL WISCONSIN THIS MORNING...AND
SOME LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS CONTINUED OVER PARTS OF NORTHWEST
AND NORTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN. OTHERWISE...SKIES WERE PARTLY CLOUDY
OVER THE REGION. GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS CONTINUED...WITH THE
STRONGEST WINDS ALONG THE LAKESHORE. BY LATE MORNING...TEMPERATURES
HAD SLOWLY CLIMBED INTO THE SINGLE DIGITS OVER NORTH CENTRAL
WISCONSIN...AND THE TEENS ELSEWHERE.

LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS SHOULD GRADUALLY TAPER OFF ACROSS NORTH
CENTRAL WISCONSIN THIS AFTERNOON...OTHERWISE SKIES WILL BE PARTLY
CLOUDY. TEMPERATURES WILL STRUGGLE ONCE AGAIN TO WARM ABOVE THE
MIDDLE TO UPPER TEENS.

UNUSUALLY COLD CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST THROUGH FRIDAY BEFORE
MODERATING TEMPERATURES BEGIN THIS WEEKEND. A CHANCE OF MIXED
PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO THE REGION FRIDAY
NIGHT...AND CONTINUE THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT. HIGHS ON SUNDAY
SHOULD CLIMB INTO THE UPPER 30S TO LOWER 40S...ALONG WITH
INCREASING CHANCES OF RAIN.
