Weather Summary for North-Central and Northeast Wisconsin
National Weather Service Green Bay WI
254 AM CST Fri Dec 8 2017

Cloudy skies prevailed across the region during the overnight
hours with light snow showers over Vilas County and scattered
flurries elsewhere. Low temperatures ranged from the middle teens
north to around 20 degrees across east-central Wisconsin.

While the lake effect snow showers will linger over Vilas County
this morning, the arrival of a clipper system late this afternoon
into tonight will bring accumulating snow to the region. A
widespread 1 to 2 inches is expected by early Saturday morning. An
additional couple inches are also likely over the far north in
the traditional Lake Superior snowbelt region.

Lake effect snow showers are forecast to continue across north-
central Wisconsin into Saturday with additional accumulations of
up to an inch in the favored snowbelt areas of Vilas County. The
remainder of the region will be under partly cloudy skies as a
ridge of high pressure approaches from the west.
