Cold windy conditions prevailed across Wisconsin yesterday as strong
Arctic high pressure built into the region in the wake of Monday`s
storm system. Temperatures didn`t rise much from Tuesday morning
lows with highs in the teens across northern Wisconsin to near
freezing closer to the Illinois border. West winds gusting to
nearly 40 mph through the day made it feel much colder. Flurries
across northern Wisconsin gave it a real wintry feel to the day.
Lows last night dropped into the teens across the majority of the
state but there were some 20s across eastern and southern


More cold breezy conditions can be expected for the remainder of
today and continuing into tomorrow. Highs today shouldn`t rise
much today either with teens expected across northwestern
Wisconsin and near 30 in the far south. Winds will gust 25-30 mph
again today putting and added chill in the air. Lows tonight will
range from near zero across northwestern Wisconsin where there is
a bit of snow on the ground to near 20 in eastern Wisconsin along
Lake Michigan. There is also the chance for some light snow and
flurries across the state today and tonight in addition to the
favored Lake Superior snow belts that will become more active
later today. Tomorrow should a another cold day with highs in the
teens north to 20s south. Winds will not be quite as strong
tomorrow and it should be dry.
