.YESTERDAY...AN ARCTIC AIRMASS REMAINED IN PLACE ACROSS THE REGION
TODAY...WITH HIGHS STRUGGLING TO MAKE IT INTO THE SINGLE DIGITS
ABOVE ZERO. OUTSIDE OF THESE COLD TEMPERATURES...QUIET CONDITIONS
PREVAILED ACROSS THE REGION UNDER PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES.

.OVERNIGHT...IT WAS A VERY COLD NIGHT ACROSS THE BADGERLAND.
TEMPERATURES WERE BELOW ZERO WITH SOME AREAS DROPPED TO AS COLD AS
10 TO 20 BELOW ZERO. SOME HIGH CLOUDS INCREASED FROM THE WEST AND
NORTHWEST.

.FORECAST...AFTER A BITTERLY COLD START TO THE DAY...TEMPERATURES
WILL BEGIN TO WARM AS LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPS OVER THE GREAT PLAINS.
IN ADDITION TO WARMER TEMPERATURES...THE LOW WILL BRING LIGHT SNOW
AS IT PASSES TO THE SOUTH OF THE STATE TODAY AND SATURDAY.

AS THE LOW MOVES OFF TO THE EAST ON SATURDAY NIGHT AND
SUNDAY...ANOTHER BLAST OF ARCTIC AIR WILL MOVE IN. ON SUNDAY
NIGHT...THE WIND CHILLS WILL ONCE AGAIN DROP BELOW -20 FOR MUCH OF
THE STATE.

A LOW WILL PASS WISCONSIN TO THE NORTH ON TUESDAY BRINGING ANOTHER
SHOT AT SOME SNOW...FOLLOWED BY MORE ARCTIC AIR CRASHING DOWN FROM
CANADA ON WEDNESDAY.
