A storm damage survey conducted by the National Weather Service in
Jackson, Kentucky found EF-1 tornado damage consistent with
wind speeds up to 90 mph near Brodhead, Kentucky.

A brief EF-1 tornado touched down on Hacker Lane in Brodhead, then
tracked southeast behind some residences on Highway 2250. Some
posts holding up an awning were blown out on one of the houses on
Hacker Lane. Also, a sedan and two pickup trucks were moved. The
midsized sedan was facing into the wind and was picked up, hit a
tree, and fell back to the ground flipped upside down. There were
also 4 to 5 hardwood trees uprooted. In another vehicle, a tree
limb was blown through the passenger side window and out the back
window. A swirl pattern was also noted in the grassy area along
the tornado path next to highway 2250. Several tree limbs from
trees were found 100 to 200 feet away from the tree of origin.

the following categories.

EF0...Weak......65 to 85 mph
EF1...Weak......86 to 110 mph
EF2...Strong....111 to 135 mph
EF3...Strong....136 to 165 mph
EF4...Violent...166 To 200 mph
EF5...Violent...>200 mph
