Showers and thunderstorms will move across the Mid-South on
Thursday. A few strong to severe storms capable of producing gusty
winds, dangerous lightning, and localized heavy rainfall will be
possible. Drier air will move into the region Thursday night and
Friday, keeping rain chances confined to north Mississippi. The
next weather system will move across the area over the weekend,
providing scattered showers and thunderstorms for both Saturday
and Sunday. A few storms will be possible on Monday under partly
cloudy skies.

Temperatures will remain at or just below normal through the
weekend. Expect high temperatures generally in the upper 80s to
lower 90s. Overnight lows will be in the low to mid 70s.
