COLD AND DRY CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST TONIGHT AS THE CENTER OF ARCTIC
HIGH PRESSURE PASSES TO OUR SOUTH. IT WILL BE VERY COLD...WITH LOWS
RANGING FROM THE TEENS AND SINGLE DIGITS INLAND...TO THE TEENS TO
NEAR 20 ALONG THE COAST AND INTO THE NYC METRO AREA. CLOUDS WILL BE
ON THE INCREASE AS A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM TO OUR WEST APPROACHES.

MUCH OF THE DAY ON SUNDAY WILL CONTINUE TO BE DRY...BUT SNOW WILL
MOVE INTO WESTERN SECTIONS LATE IN THE DAY AS THE LOW CONTINUES ITS
APPROACH. WARMER...BUT STILL BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED
FOR SUNDAY WITH HIGHS IN THE UPPER 20S TO LOWER 30S EXPECTED
REGION-WIDE. SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO OVERSPREAD THE REST OF THE AREA
SUNDAY NIGHT...AND WILL COME DOWN HEAVY AT TIMES LATE SUNDAY NIGHT
INTO EARLY MONDAY MORNING.

THE MORNING COMMUTE WILL BE A TREACHEROUS ONE FOR MANY AS HEAVY SNOW
CONTINUES FOR NORTHERN SECTIONS AND A CHANGEOVER TO A COMBINATION OF
SNOW...SLEET...FREEZING RAIN...AND EVEN RAIN IS LIKELY ACROSS
PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST NJ...NYC METRO AREA...AND MUCH OF LONG ISLAND.
A PERIOD OF HEAVY RAIN ALONG THE COAST ON MONDAY COULD CAUSE URBAN
FLOODING ISSUES.

ANY RAIN OR WINTRY MIX SHOULD TRANSITION BACK TO SNOW LATE MONDAY
AFTERNOON INTO MONDAY EVENING...WITH SNOWY OR ICY ROAD CONDITIONS
LIKELY FOR MUCH OF THE REGION FOR THE EVENING COMMUTE.
