Weather Summary for Puerto Rico
National Weather Service San Juan PR
453 AM AST Thu May 25 2017

Partly cloudy skies prevailed across Puerto Rico overnight. No
shower activity was observed over land areas. Overnight
temperatures were in the high 70s to low 80s across the lower
elevations to the low 70s across the higher elevations. Winds were
mostly from the southeast at less than 10 mph.

Continue to expect a fair weather pattern with mostly clear skies
and hazy conditions through the end of the workweek due to a mid
level ridge pattern across the forecast area and suspended dust
particles. Warm to hot temperatures will also continue to prevail
across the northern slopes of Puerto Rico under a southeast wind
flow. As the ridge pattern erodes the upcoming weekend, an
increase in low level moisture is expected with a better chance
for showers and thunderstorms.

Seas between 4 to 6 feet and east southeast winds at 15 to 20
knots are expected across much of the local waters and the
passages. Small Craft should exercise caution across most of the
local waters. There is a high risk of rip currents across the
north facing beaches of Puerto Rico.
