WEATHER SUMMARY FOR PUERTO RICO
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SAN JUAN PR
441 PM AST MON MAY 25 2015

SKIES WERE MOSTLY SUNNY ALBEIT HAZY DURING THE MORNING HOURS. A
FEW STREAMERS OFF OF CULEBRA AND VIEQUES DAMPENED PARTS OF
LUQUILLO...RIO GRANDE AND MAUNABO. THEN SHOWERS AND A FEW
THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPED ACROSS THE INTERIOR AND WESTERN SECTIONS
DURING THE AFTERNOON. WINDS WERE 15 TO 20 MPH ON THE COAST WITH
GUSTS OF ALMOST 30 MPH.

BRIEF SHOWERS HAVE ENDED FOR THE TIME BEING IN THE SAN JUAN AREA...BUT
EARLY MORNING SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED ALONG THE NORTHEAST AND EASTERN
COASTS OF THE ISLAND AS MOISTURE INCREASES AGAIN. SHOWERS IN THE
WESTERN PART OF PUERTO RICO WILL DIE DOWN JUST AFTER SUNSET WITH
CLEAR SKIES RETURNING BY MIDNIGHT. SAHARAN DUST WILL CONTINUE
OVER THE ISLANDS WITH SOME IMPROVEMENT EXPECTED TO CONTINUE. THIS
WEATHER PATTERN WILL REPEAT FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS UNTIL
BETTER MOISTURE ARRIVES ON FRIDAY. THEN THE FIRST SIGNIFICANT
RAINS IN MANY DAYS COULD BEGIN TO ALLEVIATE THE DRY CONDITIONS
FELT ACROSS THE ISLAND.

ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS...MARINERS CAN EXPECT WINDS AT AROUND 15
KNOTS WHILE SEAS WILL BE AT 5 FEET OR LESS TODAY.
