PARTLY CLOUDY TO MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES WERE OBSERVED LATE THIS MORNING AFTER
A LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS DISSIPATED BY MID-MORNING. THEN...
CLOUDS...SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPED ACROSS THE WESTERN HALF
OF PUERTO RICO...CAUSING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL AND GUSTY WINDS OVER
THE WESTERN INTERIOR AND NORTHWEST PUERTO RICO LATE THIS
AFTERNOON...BUT PARTICULARLY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE OBSERVED OVER
MAYAGUEZ AND ANASCO...WHERE INTENSE LIGHTNING AND SMALL HAIL WAS
REPORTED. MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES WERE MAINLY IN THE UPPER 80S AND
THE WINDS WERE GENERALLY EAST AT 10 TO 15 MPH WITH SEA BREEZE
VARIATIONS .

AS THE TROPICAL WAVE THAT AFFECTED OUR AREA LAST NIGHT AND TODAY
CONTINUES TO MOVE WESTWARD OUTSIDE OUR REGION...LIGHT SHOWERS ARE
STILL POSSIBLE ACROSS THE WATERS...LOCAL ISLANDS AND EASTERN
PUERTO RICO TONIGHT. THEN...WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO
IMPROVE ON SATURDAY AS THE WAVE CONTINUES TO MOVES AWAY FROM THE
LOCAL ISLANDS AND DRY AIR MOVES OVER THE REGION.

ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS...SEAS OF 3 TO 5 FEET AND WINDS UP TO 17
KNOTS ARE EXPECTED.
