Weather Summary for Puerto Rico

Partly cloudy skies prevailed across the local islands early
this morning...becoming mostly cloudy in the afternoon. Numerous
showers and thunderstorms were observed over and north of the
Cordillera Central during the afternoon hours. Winds were mostly
from the east southeast at 10 to 15 mph with coastal temperatures
in the upper 80s.

A moist and unstable air mass will continue to prevail across the
local islands through early next week. This will result in
passing showers across the Eastern half of Puerto Rico as well as
Vieques and Culebra during the morning and evening hours followed
by locally induced showers and thunderstorms developing over and
north of the Cordillera Central each afternoon.

Winds of 10 to 15 knots and seas up to 5 feet can be expected
across the local waters of Puerto Rico. A moderate risk of rip
currents will continue across the north and southeast coasts of
Puerto well as Vieques and Culebra.
