Including the cities of Sault Ste. Marie, St. Ignace, Petoskey,
Cheboygan, Rogers City, Charlevoix, Northport, Mancelona,
Gaylord, Atlanta, Alpena, Frankfort, Traverse City, Kalkaska,
Grayling, Mio, Harrisville, Manistee, Cadillac, Lake City,
Houghton Lake, West Branch, Tawas City, Gladwin, and Standish

...Heavy Lake Effect Snow Bands...

Heavy lake effect snow bands will move across northern Lower and
eastern Upper Michigan through 8pm this evening. The heaviest
bands will effect the following areas:

* Areas along Whitefish Bay
* A line from Charlevoix to Gaylord to Luzerne
* A line from Elk Rapids to Kalkaska and Higgins Lake
* A line from Lake Ann to Kingsley and Merritt

Expect visibilities to drop to near zero at times as winds
continue to gust over 25 mph. Snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches
are possible in these bands.

Snow showers should start to shift and decrease in intensity after
8pm this evening.
