Northern Lander County and Northern Eureka County-
Southwestern Elko County-South Central Elko County-
Including the cities of Winnemucca, McDermitt, Paradise Valley,
Golconda Summit, Jackpot, Wildhorse, Owyhee, Battle Mountain,
Emigrant Pass, Elko, Spring Creek, Carlin, Wells, Ruby Valley,
and Pequop Summit

Smoke from wildfires burning in northern California continue to
stream into northern Nevada this afternoon. Observations and
reports from the public indicate visibility is around 2 miles
along Interstate 80 in Humboldt County. As the day progresses, the
smoke should move eastward into northern Lander, Eureka, and
portions of Elko County. Motorists should exercise caution in
areas of lower visibility. Additionally, sensitive groups should
be aware of health complications that can occur in dense smoke.
