Light north or northeast wind and poor smoke dispersion through 8 AM. Winds will increase through the morning. Smoke dispersion improves by mid day with winds becoming more NNE at sustained 7 to 12 mph with occasional afternoon gusts up to 20 mph. Latest high resolution models suggest areas of smoke from Canadian wildfires will filter through aloft and may reach the surface across southeast South Dakota tonight, lingering through the day Monday. Upstream observations with visibility as low as 4 miles has been observed in this near surface smoke. Temperatures, initially starting around 50 degrees, will warm to the lower 70s with an afternoon minimum humidity around 30 percent. The next chance of rain comes Tuesday night. .MONDAY...
