FLOOD ADVISORY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAND RAPIDS MI
1056 AM EST MON FEB 8 2016

...The flood advisory continues for the following rivers in Southwest
Lower Michigan...

Maple River At Maple Rapids affecting Clinton County

.Snow showers are expected to affect Southwest Lower Michigan over
the course of the week. Snow may periodically become heavy in
counties bordering the lakshore with lighter snowfall further
inland. Colder temperatures will aid in keeping runoff to a minimum.
However, overnight temperatures in the teens and single digits are
likely to result in ice build up over the next several days. Ice
could lead to river fluctuations as build up occurs. Being that
rivers are already running high, fluctuations may send some rivers
over their banks if ice jams occur. The following forecast is based
on observed and forecast 24 hour precipitation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

A flood advisory means minor flooding is possible and rivers are
forecast to exceed bankfull. If you are in the advisory area remain
alert to possible flooding... or the possibility of the advisory
being upgraded to a warning. Report observed flooding to local
emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this
information on to the National Weather Service.

Stay tuned to further developments by listening to your local
radio... television... or NOAA Weather Radio for further information.
