HYDROLOGIC STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAND RAPIDS MI

...Water levels are high or forecast to have significant rises for
the following rivers or creeks:  Grand River at Jackson...Eaton
Rapids...Ada...Grand Rapids...Robinson Township...Red Cedar at
Williamston...East Lansing...Thornapple River at Caledonia...
Kalamazoo River at Marshall...Comstock...New Richmond...Pere
Marquette River at Scottville...White River at Whitehall...Pine River
at Alma...

.Another 1 to 2 inches of rain is generally expected across the
area through Monday morning. This will continue contributing to
river rises. The following forecast is based on observed and forecast
24 hour precipitation.

For the Grand River At Jackson... the latest stage was 11.6 feet at 9
AM Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage forecasted
is 12.7 feet after midnight tonight.  Flood stage is 14.0 feet.  At
13.0 feet... River is bankfull. River begins to flow into low lying
areas..

For the Grand River At Eaton Rapids... the latest stage was
estimated at 4.1 feet at 11 AM Sunday. No flooding is forecast. The
maximum stage forecasted is 5.0 feet Tuesday evening.  Flood stage is
6.0 feet.  At 5.0 feet...River is bankfull. Expect minor overflow
into low lying areas..

For the Grand River At Ada... the latest stage was 11.3 feet at 9 AM
Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage forecasted is
17.0 feet early Thursday morning.  Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

For the Grand River At Grand Rapids... the latest stage was 7.6 feet
at 10 AM Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 14.6 feet Thursday early afternoon.  Flood stage is
18.0 feet.

For the Grand River At Robinson Township... the latest stage was 10.9
feet at 7 AM Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 13.2 feet Thursday morning.  Flood stage is 13.3 feet.
At 13.3 feet... Minor flooding begins in low areas..

For the Red Cedar River Above Williamston... the latest stage was 5.2
feet at 10 AM Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 7.0 feet early Wednesday morning.  Flood stage is 9.0
feet.  At 7.0 feet... River is bankfull. Overflow begins in low lying
areas adjacent to the river..

For the Red Cedar River At East Lansing... the latest stage was 4.2
feet at 10 AM Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 6.0 feet Wednesday early afternoon.  Flood stage is 7.0
feet.  At 6.0 feet... River reaches bankfull and low lying areas
flood..

For the Thornapple River Near Caledonia... the latest stage was 4.8
feet at 9 AM Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 8.0 feet early Wednesday morning.  Flood stage is 10.0
feet.  At 8.0 feet... River is bankfull. Expect overflow into low
lying areas along the river..

For the Kalamazoo River At Marshall... the latest stage was 4.9 feet
at 10 AM Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 6.0 feet tomorrow evening.  Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
At 6.0 feet... River is bankfull. Expect minor flooding of farmland
and pastures adjacent to the river..

For the Kalamazoo River At Comstock... the latest stage was 5.2 feet
at 10 AM Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 7.0 feet Thursday morning.  Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
At 7.0 feet... River is bankfull..

For the Kalamazoo River Near New Richmond... the latest stage was
12.9 feet at 10 AM Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum
stage forecasted is 15.4 feet Wednesday morning.  Flood stage is 17.0
feet.  At 15.0 feet... River is bankfull and begins to spill over
into large swampy areas along the river. Boardwalk along the river
would become flooded..

For the Pere Marquette River Near Scottville... the latest stage was
2.3 feet at 10 AM Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum
stage forecasted is 4.7 feet Wednesday evening.  Flood stage is 5.5
feet.  At 5.0 feet... Expect high water to begin covering Campground
Road adjacent to river in Scottville Park..

For the White River Above Whitehall... the latest stage was 2.5 feet
at 10 AM Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 5.4 feet Tuesday evening.  Flood stage is 6.0 feet.  At
5.0 feet... River is bankfull. Overflow begins in low lying areas..

For the Pine River At Alma... the latest stage was 3.3 feet at 8 AM
Sunday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage forecasted is
7.0 feet early Tuesday morning.  Flood stage is 8.0 feet.  At 7.0
feet... River is bankfull..

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
