...Water levels are high or forecast to have significant rises for
the following rivers or creeks:  Muskegon River at Croton...

.River levels on the Muskegon River are on the rise after heavier
rainfall fell across Northern Lower Michigan this past weekend.
Additional lighter rainfall on Tuesday night of a quarter to half an
inch is expected. Heavier amounts are likely on Wednesday night when
an inch or more of additional rainfall will be possible.

The following forecast is based on observed and forecast 24 hour

For the Muskegon River Near Croton... the latest stage was 7.3 feet
at 8 PM Monday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 8.0 feet Thursday early afternoon.  Flood stage is 9.0
feet.  At 8.0 feet... River is bankfull. River begins to exceed its
banks and minor flooding begins in low lying areas along the river..

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
