Flood Statement
National Weather Service Indianapolis IN
1132 AM EDT Fri May 26 2017

...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers in
Indiana...

  Wabash River...White River...

.Lowland river flooding continues along the Wabash River in western
Indiana from Lafayette to near Vincennes and along the White River
near Anderson. Both the Wabash and White have either crested or
nearly crested and are beginning to fall. This latest high water is
not nearly as extensive as the floods of the first half of May.

Renewed flooding will be possible early next week as a result of
additional rain that is expected this weekend. Around an inch of
precipitation is expected with locally higher amounts likely.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.
