...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers in

  East Fork White River...Muscatatuck River...White River...

.Lowland flooding in the Seymour area in south central Indiana is
expected to come to an end today, Sunday February 18. This will
bring an end to the current flooding in central and southern Indiana
north of the Ohio River.

The next round of rainfall will start tonight and the chance for rain
will be over Indiana through Wednesday. The heaviest rainfall is
expected to remain north and northwest of Interstate 70 through
Tuesday morning, then shift southeast for Tuesday afternoon and
evening. As of Sunday morning, rainfall through 7 AM EST
Wednesday may reach nearly 3 inches. This may bring significant
flooding mid-week. Rain should end by Wednesday night. Another chance
of rain is expected Friday and Saturday.

In anticipation of the upcoming rainfall, river flood warnings for
Wheeler Hollow, Petersburg, and Hazleton remain in effect with
expectation river levels will rise above flood stage Tuesday.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river

The Flood Warning continues for
  The East Fork White River at Seymour.

* At 9:45 AM Sunday the stage was 12.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 12.7 feet by
  Thursday evening then begin falling.
* At 12.0 feet...Significant agricultural lands begins to flood.  High
  water affects some local roads.

  The Muscatatuck River at Wheeler Hollow.
* from Tuesday afternoon to late Tuesday night.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is forecast to have a maximum value of 18.2
  feet Tuesday evening.
* At 18.0 feet...Floods area in a few low spots and woodland areas
  along the river.  Residential property is not directly at this

  The White River at Petersburg.
* from Tuesday evening until further notice.
* At 10:30 AM Sunday the stage was 14.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Tuesday evening and continue
  to rise to near 19.4 feet by Monday early afternoon.
* At 19.0 feet...Low bottomlands flood and flooding begins on higher
  bottomlands.  State Road 257 may begin to flood if Shoals gage
  reading is over 17 feet.  Private levees may be overtopped in many

The Flood Warning continues for
  The White River at Hazleton.
* from Tuesday morning until further notice.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is forecast to have a maximum value of 20.1
  feet Monday evening.
* At 20.0 feet...Most of the low bottomlands flood. Flooding begins in
  higher bottomlands. High water affects any residents in Pottsville
  river cabins. Pottsville Road...North C Street on river side of
  railroad tracks and Catt Street near U. S. Highway 41 are flooded.
  Water is near or starting on Giro Road in the vicinity of submerged
  Pottsville Road. Oil stripped fields flood. Flood gates must be
  installed at Hazleton.
