The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a

* Flood Warning for Small Streams in...
  Southeastern Thayer County in south central Nebraska...

* Until 130 PM CDT Sunday

* At 125 PM CDT, emergency management reported flooding along Rose
  Creek...including minor flooding in parts of Hubbell. Highway 8 is
  closed in Jefferson County due to water over the road...and other
  roads may be closed.

* Doppler radar and rain gauge measurements indicate that between 2
  and 3 inches of rain fell in the upper portion of the Rose Creek
  basin in the last 24 hours...to the southwest of Hubbell. This
  water is running off into Rose Creek and water has risen out of
  its banks.

* Water levels will continue to rise as the water makes its way
  downstream...then water levels will gradually decrease tonight
  into Sunday. No additional rain is expected.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...


Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
