Subject: Change in Flood Stage on the Bear River at Border

The minor flood stage on the Bear river at border is being changed
from 8.6 to 7.5 feet. Plus, the action stage is being changed
from 8.0 to 7.0 feet. Field work conducted this last month in
partnership with Bear Lake county emergency management indicated
the river goes out of its banks at 7.5 feet resulting in
significant field flooding and minor road impacts. The river
starts to leave its banks in some areas at 7.0 feet. Moderate and
major flood categories will remain unchanged.

The change will become effective Thursday 4, 2017.
