Weather Summary for the MidSouth

High pressure will remain over the Mid South through the end of
this week. Dry weather and warmer temperatures can be expected
with highs in the 70s today, warming into the 80s on Friday. Lows
will be mainly in the 60s.

A series of upper level disturbances will move over the region
this weekend with scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms.
A few storms may reach severe limits late Saturday into Sunday
ahead of a cold front that will move through by the end of the
weekend. Temperatures will remain warm with highs in the lower to
upper 80s and lows mainly in the lower 70s, along with high
humidity.

A return to more seasonable weather is anticipated for early next
week with near normal temperatures and slight chances for showers
and thunderstorms.
