...BANDS OF SNOW TO AFFECT PORTIONS OF THE TAHOE BASIN...ALPINE
COUNTY AND THE SIERRA FRONT THROUGH 2 AM...

Bands of snow have developed from the southeast shores of Lake
Tahoe through Eastern Alpine County into Douglas County. Snowfall
rates near 1 inch per hour are possible in these bands, with rates
exceeding 3 inches per hour in the heaviest bands just southeast
of Lake Tahoe.

Snowfall will affect the communities of South Lake Tahoe,
Stateline, Genoa, Minden, Garderville, Smith Valley and the
southern portions of Carson City. Total snowfall amounts of 1 to 4
inches are possible in these bands. Locally higher amounts,
possibly as much as 12 inches are possible over the mountains
southeast of Lake Tahoe. The band will shift to the south and
west after midnight.
