MORNING...DROPPING TO 4 TO 7 FEET THIS AFTERNOON...RISING BACK
TO 7 TO 9 FEET WEDNESDAY.

SURF ALONG WEST FACING SHORES WILL BE 3 TO 5 FEET THIS MORNING...
DROPPING TO 2 TO 4 FEET THIS AFTERNOON...RISING TO 4 TO 6 FEET
WEDNESDAY.

SURF ALONG EAST FACING SHORES WILL BE 4 TO 7 FEET THROUGH
WEDNESDAY.

SURF ALONG SOUTH FACING SHORES WILL BE 2 TO 3 FEET THROUGH
WEDNESDAY.

OUTLOOK THROUGH TUESDAY FEBRUARY 28:
A PAIR OF LONG PERIOD NORTHWEST SWELLS FROM DISTANT SOURCES ARE
DUE THIS WEEK. THE FIRST SWELL WILL BUILD WEDNESDAY AND PEAK
WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY...LEADING TO SURF IN THE DOUBLE
OVERHEAD RANGE. THE NEXT SWELL WILL BUILD FRIDAY AND PEAK FRIDAY
NIGHT AND SATURDAY...WITH SURF AROUND ADVISORY LEVEL FOR NORTH
FACING SHORES. THIS SWELL WILL GRADUALLY DECLINE ON SUNDAY AND
MONDAY. EAST SHORE SURF WILL REMAIN ELEVATED NEAR OR JUST BELOW
THE ADVISORY LEVEL THROUGH THURSDAY DUE TO SHORT PERIOD SEAS
DRIVEN BY STRONG TRADE WINDS.

SURF HEIGHTS ARE FORECAST HEIGHTS OF THE FACE OR FRONT OF WAVES. THE
SURF FORECAST IS BASED ON THE SIGNIFICANT WAVE HEIGHT...THE AVERAGE
HEIGHT OF THE ONE THIRD LARGEST WAVES...IN THE ZONE OF MAXIMUM
REFRACTION. SOME WAVES MAY BE MORE THAN TWICE AS HIGH AS THE
SIGNIFICANT WAVE HEIGHT. EXPECT TO ENCOUNTER RIP CURRENTS IN OR NEAR
ANY SURF ZONE.
