The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Central Oconee County in Upstate South Carolina...

* Until 1100 PM EDT

* At 900 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. Up to 3 inches of rain has fallen over the past
  2 hours.  An additional 1-2 inches of rain is possible
  in the advisory area. This may cause minor flooding in the
  advisory area especially of low-lying and poor-drainage areas.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include...
  Westminster and Oakway.

* The following streams may experience rapid rises which
  may result of minor flooding: Chauga River, Toxaway Creek, Little
  Toxaway Creek, East Toxaway Creek, Colonels Fork Creek, Coneross
  Creek, Choestoea Creek, and Richland Creek.

* The following roadways and landmarks may be impacted:
  .SC 11 between mile markers 13 and 32.
  .Barrt Way near Choestoea Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Heavy rainfall will cause rapid rises on small creeks and streams,
possibly flooding low water crossings and farmland. Do not attempt to
travel across flooded roads. Turn around, dont drown.
