...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT
NORTHWESTERN PITTSYLVANIA AND EAST CENTRAL FRANKLIN COUNTIES...

Until 445 PM EDT

At 414 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Smith Mountain Lake State Park to
near Union Hall. Movement was southeast at 10 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail are possible with these
storms.

Locations impacted include...
Penhook...
Southern Smith Mountain Lake...
Union Hall...
and North Shore.

If you are on or near Smith Mountain Lake, get out of the water and
move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out
to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter
now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
