*Survey Summary:
On Saturday evening, merging and strengthening thunderstorms produced
a swath of straightline wind damage across southern portions of Lincoln
County Tennessee. Damage was first noted along Old Quick Road and
Jeans Road in the Lincoln community. Along these roads, several barns
sustained minor roof damage. There was sporadic tree damage noted in
this area as well with some trees uprooted.

Along Old Quick Road, a swath of hardwood trees were snapped along
the road. Other trees were uprooted here as well. Winds were estimated
in this area to be between 85 and 95 mph. As the storms lifted
northward, damage was noted along a fairly lengthy stretch of Lincoln
Road. Large limbs were snapped and trees were periodically uprooted
in the Rozells Mill area. Several residential fences were also damaged.
The minor tree damage continued along Smith Mill Road. Here some homes
had very minor shingle damage as well.

Another swath of more significant damage was noted further north
along Smith Mill Road at a distillery. Several buildings had their
roofs partially or mainly pulled off. In addition, a large swath
of hardwood trees were snapped. The damage here was estimated to be
around 95 mph. The damage path continued north along Smith Mill Road
and Harbin Road where minor roof damage was noted to a home and
additional trees were uprooted.

The winds began to weaken further north and east along Old Lincoln
Road and Prospect Road. Here a few small trees were downed or some
trees had large limbs snapped in the Howell Hill community. No
significant damage was noted north of Prospect Road.
