Under mostly clear skies, temperatures in most areas settled into
the 70s early this morning.

More hot weather is forecast today as south winds increase into the
15 to 25 mph range in most areas this afternoon. Highs around 90
are forecast for most areas; the exceptions being western parts of
Kansas and Nebraska where highs should range from around 70 to the
mid 80s. More thunderstorms will develop across the Western Plains
this afternoon where closest to a stationary front, and will spread
slowly east late tonight but remain west of Central Kansas.

Lows from 65 to 70 are forecast for most areas with the exceptions
being the Western Plains where lows in the 50s are forecast.
