...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN MOORE...SCOTLAND...
SOUTHEASTERN ANSON...RICHMOND AND HOKE COUNTIES THROUGH 745 PM EDT...

At 639 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 10 miles north of
Rockingham to 6 miles northwest of Chesterfield. Movement was east at
45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Laurinburg, Rockingham, Raeford, Hamlet, Maxton, Hoffman, Antioch,
Pinebluff, Ellerbe, and Foxfire.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
central North Carolina.
