The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Rapid Rises for...
  Lawrence County in southeastern Illinois...
  Southeastern Richland County in southeastern Illinois...

* Until 1145 AM CDT

* At 851 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms continues over extreme southeast Illinois.
  Doppler radar rainfall estimates range from 1.50 inches to
  over 2 inches has fallen over the past several hours from
  just north of Parkersburg northeast to near Billett.

  This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory
  area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Vincennes, Lawrenceville, Sumner, St. Francisville, Parkersburg,
  Claremont, Calhoun, Pinkstaff, Petrolia, Billett, Red Hills State
  Park, Helena, Mount Carmel Airport and Berryville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
