The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a

* Small Stream Flood Advisory for Poor Drainage Areas for...
  Southeastern Dickinson County in south central Upper Michigan...
  Northwestern Menominee County in south central Upper Michigan...

* Until 900 PM CDT

* At 600 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow
  moving thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding.
  Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in
  the advisory area. National Weather Service doppler radar
  estimates over three inches of rain has already occurred 7 miles
  to the northeast of Vulcan, along and to the east of Foster City
  Road. The main river impacted has been the Sturgeon River in
  eastern Dickinson county.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Norway, La Branche, Waucedah, Loretto and Vulcan.

Additional rainfall over an inch is expected over the area. This
additional rain will result in minor flooding.


Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in is occurring or is imminent.
