This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Critical fire weather conditions will spread across the lower
eastern slopes of the southeast mountains and into the adjacent
plains late this morning through the afternoon due to a combination
of gusty winds, low relative humidity values and dry fuels. This
will lead to high fire danger for portions of Fremont, eastern
Huerfano, El Paso and Pueblo counties. Outdoor burning or any
activities that could start a wild fire should be avoided.

Spotty light snow showers will be possible across the mountains of
Chaffee and Lake counties late this afternoon through this evening.
Localized accumulations of up to 1 inch will be possible across the
higher peaks, mainly north of Cottonwood Pass.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

High fire danger can be expected across the Eastern Mountains,
the Interstate 25 corridor and the Southeast Plains on Monday,
ahead of a stronger weather system moving into the Great Basin.
This system will continue to dig across the Rockies, bringing
good chances of snow to the Continental Divide Monday night, and
breezy to windy conditions to all of the area Tuesday. Rain and
snow showers will also be possible across the rest of the higher
terrain and the southeast plains on Tuesday.

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will be
possible late this afternoon through this evening across the central
mountains north of Cottonwood Pass.
