A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE HAS SETTLED ACROSS THE CENTRAL PLAINS TODAY
SPREADING COOL AIR ACROSS THE AREA. HIGH TEMPERATURES THIS AFTERNOON
REMAINED 10 TO 15 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL ACROSS KANSAS WITH HIGHS IN
THE 40S AND 50S.

A HARD FREEZE IS EXPECTED ACROSS THE AREA TONIGHT WITH LOW
TEMPERATURES FALLING INTO THE 20S ACROSS THE EASTERN HALF OF KANSAS
INCLUDING MUCH OF MISSOURI AND IOWA. LOCATIONS IN NORTHEAST KANSAS
MAY FALL INTO THE TEENS. A FREEZE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR MUCH
OF THE REGION.

HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL REBOUND ON SATURDAY AS SOUTHERLY WINDS RETURN
TO THE AREA. HIGHS WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 40S ACROSS MISSOURI TO
THE LOWER 60S ACROSS THE HIGH PLAINS OF WESTERN KANSAS.
