Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Wichita KS
447 AM CDT WED JUN 29 2016

Under a high overcast temperatures ranged from the lower 70s along
the Oklahoma border to the mid 60s in Eastern Kansas during the
night. A large area of showers and embedded thunderstorms remained
over West and Southwest Kansas.

The thunderstorms that have been occurring across Southwest Kansas
during the night will move into the Southwestern Plains early this
morning, but widely scattered thunderstorms may pop up again later
this afternoon. Southerly winds that will increase to 10 to 20 mph
will enable temperatures to reach 85 to 90 degrees in most areas.
The exceptions would be in Western Kansas and Oklahoma where highs
may reach 90 to 95.

Thunderstorms will be on the increase tonight as a southward-moving
perturbation pushes a weak cold front southeast into Kansas. Severe
thunderstorms remain possible in the Western Plains, primarily this
evening. Lows in the 60s are forecast for all areas as winds become
easterly from 5 to 15 mph.
