A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM CENTERED OVER NEBRASKA BROUGHT SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO THE AREA TODAY. PERSISTENT HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE
NORTHERN SANDHILLS LED TO RAINFALL TOTALS LOCALLY EXCEEDING ONE
INCH. A FEW STRONG STORMS DEVELOPED OVER NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA
AND DROPPED HAIL. PERIODS OF SUNSHINE ALONG WITH SOUTH WINDS
HELPED TEMPERATURES REACH THE LOWER 70S ACROSS SOUTHWEST AND
CENTRAL NEBRASKA WHILE HIGHS STAYED IN THE 60S IN THE PANHANDLE
AND NORTHWEST NEBRASKA.

ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT WESTERN
AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA TONIGHT...WITH MOST OF THE ACTIVITY
STAYING EAST OF HIGHWAY 83 AFTER SUNSET. LOWS WILL RANGE FROM THE
MID 40S IN THE PANHANDLE TO THE MID 50S IN CENTRAL NEBRASKA.
ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE TUESDAY.
