Weather Summary for the MidSouth
National Weather Service Memphis TN
405 AM CDT MON JUL 25 2016

Chances for showers and thunderstorms will be higher this week for
much of the Mid-South as the upper ridge of high pressure breaks
down and allows a weak front to move southward to near the
Missouri-Arkansas border. Expect forty to fifty percent chances
for rain each day across northern locations of the Mid-South. Even
higher chances for showers and thunderstorms will occur by
Thursday through early next weekend as an upper trough moves into
the region.

For North Mississippi, small chances for showers and
thunderstorms will occur through Tuesday. However, by Wednesday
chances will increase as well as the upper trough begins to move
into the area.

High temperatures will be in the lower to mid 90s today and
Tuesday. Cooler temperatures will occur on Thursday into next
weekend due to the increased convection and cloud cover. Expect
highs to remain generally in the mid to upper 80s.
