...STRONG AND GUSTY EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS IN THE TWIN PORTS...

Strong east to northeast winds of 15 to 30 mph, with gusts up to
40 mph, will continue this morning near the Twin Ports. Areas
which will be affected by the strong winds include MN Highway 61
from French River to Duluth, the I-35 corridor from Duluth to near
Mahtowa, US Highway 53 between Twig MN and Hawthorne WI, and US
Highway 2 from Saginaw MN to near Poplar WI. Strong crosswinds are
also likely on the Bong and Blatnik Bridges between Duluth and
Superior, and on I-35 near Thompson Hill.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for
high-profile vehicles. Motorists are encouraged to use extra
caution this morning and keep both hands on the wheel, especially
on I-35 from Duluth to Esko and if crossing either the US Highway
2 or I-535 bridges between Duluth and Superior.
