...Moderate Risk of Rip Currents Today...

Rip Current Risk:      Moderate Risk. Life threatening rip currents are
                       possible in the surf zone. Remember to swim near
                       a lifeguard and with a non-inflatable flotation
                       device, such as a life jacket or boogie board.

Lightning Risk:       Moderate.

Ultraviolet Index:     Extreme. Wear a wide-brimmed hat and
                       sunglasses, and use sunscreen of SPF 15
                       or higher. Remain in the shade if possible.

Weather:               Mostly sunny with a 30 percent chance of showers
                       and thunderstorms.

Temperatures:          Mid 80s.

Wind:                  Southeast 10 to 15 mph.

Wave Heights:          2 to 4 feet.

Surf Temperature:      84 degrees.

Bay Temperature:       87 degrees.

Tides:                 A high at 6 30 am. A low at 9 54 pm.

Outlook:               An elevated risk of rip currents is possible
                       by mid-week next week as seas are expected to
                       build along the lower Texas coast. Weather
                       conditions will be hot with increasing clouds
                       and rain chances this weekend and into next week.
