.OVERVIEW: A High Precipitation (HP) supercell thunderstorm
produced a tornado in northwest Richland County on Sunday,
11/5/17. The tornado was on the ground for nearly 7 miles
and 9 minutes.

Survey Summary:

The National Weather Service conducted a storm survey in
northwest Richland County and determined there was a tornado
that tracked across the county. The tornado touched down in
an open field about 3.4 miles north of Noble, IL at 5:24 pm
CST. The tornado tracked to the east-northeast and damaged
the roof of a house, destroyed a garage, damaged a truck in
the garage, and downed several trees. The tornado continued to
the east-northeast damaging several trees, before doing damage
to a barn roof off of Pleasant Ridge Lane around 5:26 pm CST.
The tornado continued to the east-northeast for another 7
minutes primarily damaging trees. The tornado dissipated
around 5:33 pm CST, about 3.2 miles north-northwest of Olney,
IL about one-half mile northwest of the Richland Country Club.
