.TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT...PERSISTENT WEATHER CONTINUES AS
FRESH TO STRONG EASTERLIES DOMINATE LOCAL CONDITIONS THROUGH TUESDAY
NIGHT. LOCAL WINDS WILL DIMINISH TO NEAR 10 TO 15 KT WEDNESDAY MORNING.
DRIER TEMPERATURES AND WARMER OVERNIGHT LOWS...WITH ONLY ISOLATED
SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE MAIN SAMOAN ISLES.

.LONG TERM...
.THURSDAY THROUGH MONDAY...A DEVELOPING SURFACE TROUGH NEAR WEST OF
SAVAII WILL TRIGGER SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND POSSIBLE TSTMS
WEST OF MANU`A STARTING FRIDAY AFTERNOON. ALTHOUGH A SURFACE RIDGE
WILL EXTEND TO THE SOUTH OF THE AREA BEFORE MOVING ABOVE THE FCST ZONES
SUNDAY NIGHT...THE EXPECTED TROUGH WILL BRING INCREASING MOISTURE
AND RAINFALL ACROSS UPOLU AND TUTUILA UNTIL SATURDAY NIGHT. THIS
SITUATION WILL INFLUENCE LOCAL WINDS TO TURN NORTHEAST AT 10 TO 15 KT
SATURDAY NIGHT. FOR NOW...WILL WAIT FOR A COUPLE MORE FUTURE MODEL
RUNS BEFORE UPDATING THE LATTER PART OF THE LONG TERM. THUS...WILL
KEEP THE SHOWER COVERAGE FROM THE PREV FCST THE SAME.

.MARINE...LARGE TRADE-WIND GENERATED SEAS AND SWELLS UP TO 9 TO 11 FEET
WILL PROVIDE HAZARDOUS SURFS ALONG THE EAST AND SOUTH FACING SHORES
UNTIL THURSDAY NIGHT. ISSUANCE OF ADVISORIES FOR SMALL CRAFTS AND
HIGH SURFS ARE MANDATORY TO MIRROR THIS EXPECTED SITUATION.
