...Rain Ends Tonight...
...Rises On Most Streams With Flooding Possible On Some River
Systems From This Rain...
An unseasonably warm and moist weather system is going to continue
the rain showers and isolated storms into this evening with the
rain ending overnight. Additional rain amounts of a tenth to a
half inch are likely for most locations. This combined with the
rain that has already fallen, will generate storm totals of a half
to three quarters of an inch, with a few amounts up to 1 inch
possible. These rains will be falling on primarily frozen ground
and these soil conditions are favorable for more runoff than
Most streams and rivers are already running higher than normal.
The rainfall will create ponding of water in low lying areas
along with rises on many streams and rivers. Flooding will also
be possible in a few locations through the middle of the week.
Those living near streams and rivers should remain alert for
rising water levels. If you observe significant rises or any
flooding, notify local law enforcement to relay your report to the
National Weather Service.
