...Problematic Indianapolis NWR Broadcast Continues...

A prolonged outage continues of NOAA Weather Radio-All Hazards
station KEC-74 from Indianapolis, operating on a frequency of
162.550 MHz. Other than a brief return to service on Friday, the
outage has been ongoing since the evening of Friday, August 26 due
to telephone company issues.

It is very likely the outage will continue until at least Tuesday,
September 6. There is potential for the broadcast to resume and drop
out until the problem is successfully addressed, though lately no up
time has been observed.

Listeners experiencing outages are advised to tune in a surrounding
NOAA Weather Radio Station, visit our website at, call our forecast and climate telephone
recording at 317-856-0664, or watch/listen to our media partners for
weather information needs.

KEC-74 is a 1000-watt radio station transmitting from the east side
of Indianapolis, providing general weather and climate information
as well as emergency information pertaining to both meteorological
and technological threats. Warning service of these threats is

Delaware, Boone, Hamilton, Henry, Hendricks, Marion, Hancock,
