Hydrologic Outlook
National Weather Service Paducah KY
419 PM CST Sat Feb 17 2018

...Excessive rainfall is likely across the region during the
upcoming week...

Multiple weather systems will produce a significant amount of
rainfall next week, primarily Tuesday night into Wednesday,
associated with the passage of a cold front and possible
thunderstorm activity. Another round of potentially heavy rainfall
is possible late next week. It is too early at this time to
speculate on specific rainfall amounts, but it is believed that at
least several inches of rainfall are possible.

The areas that should receive the heaviest rainfall include parts
of southeastern Missouri, southern Illinois and possibly
southwestern Indiana. Somewhat lower totals are forecast across
western Kentucky.

The excessive rainfall may impact our major rivers and their
tributaries. If you live in river bottom lands, keep up to date on
the latest forecasts. Low lying, poor drainage areas may
experience flooding as well.
