...HEAVY RAINFALL AND FLOODING LIKELY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...

.ANOTHER ROUND OF WIDESPREAD MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL WILL
DEVELOP OVER THE REGION TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY AS AN AREA OF LOW
PRESSURE MOVES ALONG THE STATIONARY BOUNDARY.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS BETWEEN TWO AND FOUR INCHES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS
THE WATCH AREA...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.

SOILS ARE ALREADY SATURATED ACROSS THE REGION...AND MANY CREEKS...
STREAMS AND RIVERS ARE ALREADY RUNNING ABOVE NORMAL. THIS
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL IS EXPECTED TO LEAD TO FLOODING OF STREAMS
AND RIVERS IN SOME AREAS...ALONG WITH THE FLOODING OF MANY LOW
WATER CROSSINGS.

THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND MISSOURI...INCLUDING THE
  FOLLOWING AREAS...IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS...BOURBON...CHEROKEE
  AND CRAWFORD. IN MISSOURI...BARRY...BARTON...BENTON...
  CAMDEN...CEDAR...CHRISTIAN...DADE...DALLAS...DENT...DOUGLAS...
  GREENE...HICKORY...HOWELL...JASPER...LACLEDE...LAWRENCE...
  MARIES...MCDONALD...MILLER...MORGAN...NEWTON...OREGON...
  OZARK...PHELPS...POLK...PULASKI...SHANNON...ST. CLAIR...
  STONE...TANEY...TEXAS...VERNON...WEBSTER AND WRIGHT.

* THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING

* SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE AT TIMES THIS EVENING RESULTING IN LIGHT
  TO MODERATE RAINFALL. THE COVERAGE AND INTENSITY OF SHOWERS AND
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH TORRENTIAL RAINFALL WILL INCREASE LATE
  TONIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING. ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL CONTINUE
  THROUGH THE DAY WEDNESDAY.

  ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS THROUGH WEDNESDAY OF TWO AND FOUR
  INCHES ARE EXPECTED...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS AROUND 5
  INCHES POSSIBLE.

* THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING OF
  STREAMS...FLOOD PRONE AREAS...AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS. FLOODING
  OF LARGER RIVERS WILL ALSO OCCUR.

AREAS THAT NORMALLY DO NOT FLOOD MAY EXPERIENCE FLOODING.

AREAS THAT HAVE ALREADY EXPERIENCED FLOODING MAY SEE ADDITIONAL
FLASH FLOODING.

THOSE CAMPING OR FLOATING ALONG AREA STREAMS AND RIVERS SHOULD BE
ALERT FOR RISING WATER LEVELS...AND AVOID FLOODED AREAS.

RIVERS IMPACTED BY FLOODING INCLUDE THE OSAGE...MARMATON...SPRING
...ELK...JAMES...AND GASCONADE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
