The National Weather Service in JACKSON KY has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  Powell County in east central Kentucky...
  Estill County in east central Kentucky...
  Southwestern Menifee County in east central Kentucky...

* Until 600 AM EDT

* At 359 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in
  the advisory area. Between one and two inches of rain have already
  fallen in some locations over the past one to two hours.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Stanton, Irvine, Clay City, Ravenna, Campsites in the Indian Creek
  area of the Daniel Boone National Forrest, Pilot, Bowen, Cornwell,
  Kimbrell, Rothwell, Rice Station, Kings Station, Fagan, Calloway
  Crossing, Wiseman Crossing Station, Virden, Winston, Patsey,
  Wisemantown and Vaughns Mill.


Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
