.NOW...

THE EAST COAST SEA BREEZE FORMED LATE THIS MORNING AND HAS SPARKED
SCATTERED LIGHTNING STORMS FROM BREVARD TO MARTIN COUNTIES. THE
STORMS ARE RATHER SLOW MOVING...TOWARD THE NORTH NORTHWEST AROUND 10
MPH. AS A RESULT...LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN WILL PRODUCE A QUICK 1 TO 2
INCHES IN AN HOUR OR SO WHICH SHOULD CAUSE TEMPORARY FLOODING OF SOME
ROADS AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS. THE FOCUS FOR STORMS WILL GRADUALLY
SHIFT INTO THE INTERIOR WITH THE SEA BREEZE BOUNDARY THIS AFTERNOON.
IF YOU ARE WORKING OR RECREATING OUTDOORS...WHETHER ON LAND OR
WATER...SEEK SHELTER AT THE FIRST SIGN OF STORMS.

A MODERATE THREAT FOR RIP CURRENTS EXISTS AT THE BEACHES OF EAST
CENTRAL FLORIDA TODAY. THE THREAT WILL BE HIGHEST DURING THE OUTGOING
TIDE THIS AFTERNOON.
