...September was hotter and drier than normal for Tallahassee...

The average monthly temperature for September recorded at the
Tallahassee Regional Airport was 80.0 degrees, 1.8 degrees above
normal. The highest temperature recorded during the month was 96
degrees on the 4th and 5th. The lowest temperature was 56 degrees on
the 14th. There were no records tied or broken during the month.

Rainfall at the Tallahassee Regional Airport for September measured
3.06 inches, or 1.63 inches below normal. There were 13 days with
measurable rainfall during the month which was 4 above normal. The
greatest amount in a 24-hour period was 0.69 inches on the 12th.
There were 8 days with thunder at the airport which was normal.
