A dreary day across the region as yesterdays storm system moved
into the Northeast and high pressure built into the Southern Plains.
Skies were mostly cloudy through the day with gusty northwesterly
winds of 15 to 25 MPH. Flurries were also reported at the
Davenport Airport. High temperatures on Tuesday ranged from 32
degrees at Independence to 37 degrees at Iowa City. Many other
locations had highs in the mid 30s today.

High pressure will remain over the Southern Plains Tuesday night
into Wednesday morning. Skies will remain mostly cloudy overnight
with northwesterly winds of 5 to 10 MPH. Low temperatures on
Wednesday morning will range from the upper teens north of a line
from Cedar Rapids to Dubuque to the mid 20s in far southeast Iowa,
northeast Missouri, and west central Illinois.
