PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES AND INCREASED HUMIDITY WERE FOUND
ACROSS THE REGION ON SATURDAY...AS HIGH PRESSURE SHIFTED EAST INTO
THE OHIO RIVER VALLEY. A FEW ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS SLOWLY
TRACKED OVER NORTHWEST ILLINOIS DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND
EARLY EVENING SATURDAY...GIVING A FEW AREAS SOME BRIEF HEAVY RAIN
AND LIGHTNING. OTHERWISE...DRY CONDITIONS WERE FOUND. SATURDAY
HIGH TEMPERATURES...RANGED FROM 84 DEGREES IN
INDEPENDENCE...FREEPORT...AND CLINTON...TO 90 DEGREES IN
MUSCATINE.

CLEAR SKIES WILL BE FOUND THROUGH THE REST OF THE EVENING
SATURDAY...BEFORE CLOUDS BEGIN TO INCREASE SUNDAY MORNING...AHEAD
OF A STORM SYSTEM TO TRACK EAST OVER IOWA. SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE EARLY SUNDAY...WITH BRIEF HEAVY
RAIN AND LIGHTNING POSSIBLE. SUNDAY MORNING LOW
TEMPERATURES...WILL DROP INTO THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 60S. PARTLY TO
MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES AND HUMID CONDITIONS WILL BE THE NORM
SUNDAY...WITH ANOTHER CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE
DURING THE AFTERNOON...ESPECIALLY ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS. SOME
OF THESE STORMS...MAY BECOME SEVERE...WITH DAMAGING WINDS AND
LARGE HAIL THE MAIN THREATS.
