A NARROW LINE OF RAIN SHOWERS EXTENDING FROM NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS TO
SOUTHEAST KANSAS BROUGHT OVERCAST CONDITIONS AND KEPT AFTERNOON
TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 70S. ACROSS THE REST OF THE REGION
TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE MID TO UPPER 80S GIVING WAY TO A TRANSITION
FROM CLEAR SKY CONDITIONS TO PARTLY CLOUDY.

CLOUD COVER IS EXPECTED TO INCREASE THROUGHOUT THE OVERNIGHT HOURS
AS AN APPROACHING UPPER LEVEL FRONT APPROACHES SOUTHERN KANSAS AND
NORTHERN OKLAHOMA KEEPING LOW TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 60S. FURTHER
NORTH ACROSS EASTERN NEBRASKA...NORTHEAST KANSAS...NORTHWEST
MISSOURI WILL SEE OVERNIGHT LOWS IN THE LOW 50S. RAIN SHOWERS ARE
EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS FAR SOUTHWEST KANSAS OVERNIGHT AND SPREAD
EASTWARD THROUGHOUT THE EARLY MORNING HOURS.

WITH AMPLE CLOUD COVER AND PRECIPITATION FORECASTED THE HIGH
TEMPERATURES ON WEDNESDAY ACROSS SOUTHERN KANSAS AND MUCH OF
NORTHERN OKLAHOMA WILL REMAIN BELOW NORMAL. FLASH FLOOD WATCHES HAVE
BEEN POSTED ACROSS SOUTHWEST KANSAS AND WESTERN OKLAHOMA WITH
RAINFALL TOTALS EXPECTED TO BE AROUND 2 TO 4 INCHES. THROUGHOUT THE
EARLY MORNING AND AFTERNOON HOURS PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO SLIDE
EASTWARD INTO SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS...AND WESTERN OKLAHOMA WHERE
EXPECTED RAINFALL TOTALS WILL BE AROUND 1 INCH.
