Showers and thunderstorms developed last night and brought
beneficial rainfall to west central Nebraska. Rainfall amounted to
as much as a half inch in some places. The rain and clouds helped
keep temperatures warm overnight, but where rain did not fall,
temperatures cooled into the 30s. Valentine and Ainsworth shared
the regional low temperature of 35 degrees.

The swath of rain and thunder will build northeast today and
continue to bring beneficial rainfall to the region. Highs will be
cool with readings in the upper 30s and lower 40s for the north,
and 40s and 50s for the south.
