Weather Summary for Western and North Central Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
730 PM CDT Wed Oct 18 2017 /630 PM MDT Wed Oct 18 2017/

Today, sunny skies once again allowed temperatures to soar to
above normal values even with a cool front pushing through the
area. Behind this front, winds shifted to the north with
occasional gusts up to 25 mph observed at times. Highs ranged from
the upper 60s to middle 70s, which again was roughly 5 to 15
degrees above normal for this time of year.

For tonight, cloud cover will slowly build in late in the
overnight hours. This will help keep morning lows warmer that
previous mornings. Lows will be in the low 40s across the Northern
Sandhills to the upper 30s in the river valleys where cloud cover
will be slower to build in and winds may be able to calm a bit
more. Another above average temperature day is expected on Thursday
and then again on Friday.
