Weather Summary for the MidSouth
National Weather Service Memphis TN
330 PM CDT MON AUG 29 2016

An upper level high pressure ridge will continue to bring hot and
humid conditions to the Midsouth through at least midweek.
Afternoon heat indices will likely be above 100 degrees each day.

Rain chances will be confined mainly to the daytime hours.

The ridge will break down by Wednesday Night and Thursday allowing
a cold front to move into the Mid-South. Additional chances for
showers and thunderstorms will occur as a result.

Much drier air and slightly cooler temperatures will filter into
the region behind the cold front, lasting into the
early part of next weekend. The upper ridge will then begin to
build back over the Mid-South over the weekend bringing the return
of higher humidity values by Sunday.
