Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
339 PM EDT Sat May 27 2017

Outside of a passing shower for the first half of tonight,
conditions will be dry under mostly cloudy skies as a weak area of
low pressure passes well to our south. Temperatures will be at or
slightly above normal for this time of year, in the 50s for much
of the region, with lows near 60 in the New York City metro area.

Dry conditions continue through the day on Sunday as weak high
pressure over the area pushes offshore. Clouds will diminish
somewhat, but there will still be more clouds than sun. A
southeasterly flow off the relatively cool ocean waters will mean
temperatures at or below normal, especially along the coast.
Highs will range from the lower 70s away from the coast, to the
lower to middle 60s along the coast.

Rain will move into the region late Sunday night as a frontal
system approaches from the west. The chances for rain will
continue into Memorial Day. There will also be a chance for some
thunderstorms. Temperatures on Memorial Day will be about 5 to 10
degrees below normal.
