THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN EL PASO HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  CENTRAL SIERRA COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL NEW MEXICO...

* UNTIL 930 PM MDT

* AT 626 PM MDT...EARLIER DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS THAT
  PRODUCED TWO TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN UPSTREAM FROM THE WARNED
  AREA. EVEN THOUGH RAIN HAS MOSTLY STOPPED IN THE AREA, RUNOFF FROM
  THESE STORMS IS STILL MAKING ITS WAY DOWN TOWARDS CABALLO LAKE. AS
  A RESULT...FLASH FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN SHORTLY.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  CABALLO...
  PALOMAS...
  LOWER ANIMAS CREEK...
  LOWER SECO CREEK...
  LOWER PALOMAS CANYON.

FLOOD WATERS ARE MOVING DOWN PALOMAS CREEK...SECO CREEK...AND
LOS ANIMAS CREEK.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMAIN ALERT FOR FLOODING EVEN IN LOCATIONS NOT RECEIVING RAIN.
ARROYOS...STREAMS...AND RIVERS CAN BECOME RAGING KILLER CURRENTS IN A
MATTER OF MINUTES...EVEN FROM DISTANT RAINFALL.
