The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Morris County in east central Kansas...
  Southwestern Wabaunsee County in east central Kansas...
  Northwestern Lyon County in east central Kansas...

* Until 1030 PM CDT

* At 803 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between three and four inches
  of rain is estimated to have already fallen. Flash flooding is
  could to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Council Grove, Americus, Bushong, Dunlap and Council Grove Lake.

Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches are possible in the
warned area as moderate showers move back into the area.


Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
